Take a mental break by spending some time on your marketing

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, taking breaks from watching and reading news coverage and focusing energy elsewhere can help alleviate stress and anxiety.

As we all navigate the coming weeks together, Compass Legal Marketing recommends giving your mind a little break by spending some time on marketing. After you have reached out to your clients and contacts to check on them (be sure to connect them with someone in your network if they need labor & employment advice), consider doing the following:

  • Review your online presence – Take some time to review your LinkedIn profile, website and bio and make improvements. What updates need to be made and how can you clearly communicate your differentiators?
  • Perfect your pitch – Did you have any pitch meetings get postponed? Use this time to put some extra effort into your next meeting. Do additional research and practice your pitch so that when it is rescheduled, you’ll be more than ready.
  • Write a short article – Write an article on a topic you are interested in. Focusing on something positive will help with taking that mental break. Share it with colleagues who you know could also use a break.
  • Learn something new – Have you been meaning to learn how to send an email blast or post an ad on social media? Do some research or register for a webinar on a marketing topic that interests you.
