Q: Hi, Matt! Can you tell us a bit about your role at Compass Legal Marketing (CLM) and what led you to join our team?
A: I’m a marketer here at CLM, where I work on a range of projects for our law firm clients. What drew me to CLM was the opportunity to explore different facets of marketing that I hadn’t encountered at my previous job. The variety of work keeps things fresh and allows me to continually expand my skill set.
Q: What one piece of advice would you give to law firms about their marketing?
A: Understanding what sets your firm apart is crucial. Don’t be afraid to highlight your unique strengths. Clear, consistent communication is important; it not only defines your brand but also strengthens it.
Q: What keeps you inspired in your work at CLM and what do you enjoy working on the most?
A: I’m driven by the new challenges that push me to think differently and improve my approach, like when I had to rethink the email marketing strategy for one of our clients. It’s that blend of creativity and problem solving that keeps me motivated.
I also enjoy working on content development. It’s rewarding to see a project come together, especially when collaborating with our talented team.
Q: How would your closest friends describe you in 2 words?
A: Persistent, humorous, and—if I can add one more—a good time to be around!
Q: How do you relax and recharge?
A: I’m a big fan of disc golf. It’s a perfect way to unwind—being out in the sun, surrounded by nature, and just enjoying the moment.
