Q: Hi, Natasha! Can you tell us a bit about your role at Compass Legal Marketing (CLM) and what led you to join our team?
A: I’m an account manager at CLM and I work on projects like social media, websites, ongoing content, and managing the broader marketing plans for our law firm clients.
I was working in public relations previously and found the legal marketing field intriguing. The opportunity came up, and I haven’t looked back! I’ve been at CLM since 2021.
Q: What one piece of advice would you give to lawyers about their marketing?
A: Stay active on Linkedin—clients and contacts want to know what you’ve been up to recently! Keep your website bio up to date and spend the time to make sure it contains the relevant information. Potential clients are looking.
Q: What keeps you inspired in your work at CLM and what do you enjoy working on the most?
A: I get energy from working with our team—each of us has a different piece of the puzzle that we put together for our clients. Seeing a satisfied and happy client is inspiring and makes a difference in motivation and excitement. I particularly enjoy writing content. I really get into a flow state and I enjoy learning about others through research.
Q: What’s something clients might not know about you?
A: I currently live in Denver, Colorado, which has been quite the adventure because I’m a Miami girl through and through. I love Miami’s vibe, culture, architecture and tropical landscape. Living in Denver has been very different from that but it’s also special in its own way. I particularly enjoy skiing, hiking and learning about the different areas and landscapes that Colorado has to offer.
It’s interesting to live somewhere else because it helps you see who you really are. I’ve learned a lot about myself and it’s been a good experience for my overall growth as a person. But, I do plan to eventually return to Miami!
Q: How would your closest friends describe you in 3 words?
A: Funny—not with jokes but I tend to be pretty honest and I’m told it comes off as quirky and funny at times. Joyful—I try to have a positive energy about life. Energetic—probably to a fault, as I can’t sit still. You’ll find me vacuuming the floor for the third time—it’s a bit of a problem!
Q: How do you relax and recharge?
A: When I’m in Denver, going on walks around my neighborhood with my dog Smoke, going for coffee, and hiking in the summertime. When I’m in Miami, you’ll find me with friends at the beach or by the pool.
